La propuesta de paisaje para el Hotel Secrets Akumal se basa en conceptos sustentantes. Los objetivos principales fueron el trasplante de árboles para la conservación y regeneración mediante el uso de vegetación nativa y uso de drenes y pozos de absorción e infiltración natural en el sitio para evitar inundaciones.
El uso de vegetación para crear diferentes ambientes: de duna resistente a vientos y salinidad, así como para dar ambientes de privacidad.
Además KVR fue responsable del diseño de albercas, swim outs, cuerpos de agua y acabado exterior general.
The landscape proposal for Hotel Secrets Akumal is based on sustainability concepts. The main objectives where: transplanting trees for the conservation and regeneration by the use of native vegetation.
Drains and absorption wells that allow the natural infiltration to avoid floods.
The different kinds of vegetation to create different environments as dune vegetation that resists wind and salinity, and vegetation for privacy environments.
In addition KVR was responsible for the design of swimming pools, swim outs, water features and general outdoor finishing.
